Ayahuasca is the Quechua name to refer to both the liquid resulting from the slow decoction of an Amazonian vine called Banisteriopsis caapi, and the vine itself, which contains the compounds Harmine, Harmaline and Tetrahydroharmine.
This experience begins with a pickup from your hotel at 5:30 a.m. in our private transport. On the way, we will visit Paucartambo, where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast and explore the area before continuing on to Manu National Park.
We will arrive at our lodge around 12:30 p.m., where a delightful lunch will be waiting for you. Afterward, we will visit the nearby river, perfect for relaxing and connecting with nature. After this moment of rest, you will have time to prepare for the Ayahuasca ceremony, which will take place in the evening, offering a profound spiritual experience in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
PRE-AYAHUASCA CEREMONY
We meet with our shaman to learn how the ceremony will be conducted. It is important that you are prepared, so you will have a guided meditation to clear away negative thoughts and focus on your purpose.
AYAHUASCA CEREMONY
After breakfast, we will gather for a special ceremony dedicated to interpreting the visions and symbols you experienced during your Ayahuasca journey. Our shaman, drawing from their deep wisdom and years of experience, will provide a spiritual and shamanic interpretation, offering guidance on what Mother Ayahuasca intended to reveal to you. This sacred moment will allow you to connect more deeply with the insights you received.
Before lunch, we’ll head to the river for a moment of relaxation, letting the soothing sounds of nature help you reflect on the morning’s revelations. After about an hour, we’ll return to the lodge for a nourishing, locally prepared meal.
In the evening, before beginning our second Ayahuasca ceremony, we will engage in a calming meditation session to clear your mind and align your spirit, ensuring you are fully prepared to receive the sacred plant once again. This preparation helps you enter the ceremony with peace and openness.
We will start the day with a nutritious breakfast to prepare for the final stage of your journey. Then, we will gather for a meaningful ceremony where the shaman will help you interpret the visions and symbols you experienced during the Ayahuasca ceremonies.
By mid-morning, we will head to a nearby Wildlife Rescue Center. Here, you will have the opportunity to meet rescued animals native to the Amazon region. It is a unique opportunity to connect more deeply with nature, complementing the spiritual aspect of your journey.
Next, we will embark on a 20-minute boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to visit the Coñec Canyon. Afterward, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor traditional Amazonian cuisine, prepared with fresh and organic ingredients.
In the afternoon, we will begin our journey back to Cusco. As we drive through the breathtaking Andean landscapes and cloud forests, we expect to arrive in Cusco around 6:00 p.m., where we will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of your profound journey.
