🗺️ Itinerary Overview

Day 1: Journey Through the Cloud Forest to the Jungle

We depart from Cusco at 5:30 AM, heading through the majestic Andes toward the lush cloud forest. Along the way, we’ll stop in Paucartambo, a picturesque town known for its traditions and Andean culture. After breakfast, we continue to the Acjanaco Pass (3495m)—the gateway to Manu National Park.

Once inside the park, a guided nature hike takes us through the misty cloud forest, where we may spot Peru’s national bird—the Andean cock-of-the-rock, as well as toucans, quetzals, and monkeys. After arriving at our jungle lodge, you’ll have time to relax or join an optional night walk to discover nocturnal species like frogs, snakes, and tarantulas.

Day 2: , Lake Rafting & Night Safari

We begin with a visit to a hummingbird garden, where you can admire these dazzling birds up close. After lunch at the lodge, we venture into the forest on foot, searching for monkeys, hoatzins, oropendolas, and more.

Later, we arrive at Machuwasi Lake, a peaceful oxbow lake where you’ll enjoy a local raft ride and wildlife observation from a jungle tower. As night falls, we take to the trails once again—this time in search of owls, scorpions, and other creatures that awaken after dark.

Day 3: Parrot Clay Lick, Deep Jungle Trek & River Swim

An early start takes us by boat to a parrot and macaw clay lick, where you’ll witness dozens of vibrant birds feeding on mineral-rich clay—a true Amazon spectacle.

After breakfast, we hike for about three hours through pristine primary rainforest, surrounded by towering ceiba trees, diverse flora, and the sounds of the jungle. Later in the day, enjoy a refreshing swim in the Manu River, optional clay therapy, and another night walk in search of glowing insects and exotic critters.

Day 4: River Boat Ride &

We finish the adventure with a tranquil boat ride, followed by a visit to a wildlife rescue center where you’ll meet animals that are being cared for and prepared for reintroduction into the wild.

Then we return by road to Cusco, making scenic and restful stops along the way. Arrival is scheduled for around 4:00 PM.
